When we started MSET Academy, we had one rule: no course we would not put our own engineers through. The result is a small catalogue taught the way software is actually practised — on real systems, in person, by people who ship for a living.
Two tracks, taught from the trenches
Our current cohorts run on-site at Magnet Work, Chandigarh:
- AI Applications — building with large language models end to end: prompting, structured output, evaluation, and shipping a real feature, taught by the team that does this for enterprise clients.
- Cyber Security — offensive and defensive fundamentals on live lab environments, from reconnaissance to hardening, taught by practitioners.
Why in person still wins
Recorded courses are excellent at delivering information and terrible at building judgement. Judgement comes from watching someone debug, asking the question you were embarrassed to ask, and being reviewed by an engineer who has seen your mistake before in production. That loop needs a room.
We measure the Academy the same way we measure client work: by what participants can ship afterwards, not by hours of content consumed.
What a week looks like
Every week pairs a concept with a build. You do not take notes about retrieval pipelines — you stand one up, break it, and fix it. You do not read about privilege escalation — you perform one in the lab and then close the hole. Assessments are working artefacts, reviewed like pull requests.
